'POP®' Blind Rivet Nuts provide the quick
and easy answer for all types of application where components are fixed to sheet or
tubular materials. Whether it's a rear view mirror or a hinge, a foot on a refrigerator or
a cleat on a mast, the 'POP®' nut ensures a strong anchorage with six threads.
'POP®' Nuts are rapidly installed with hand or power tools, from one side of the
workpiece and without damage, even to painted or finished components. There is an
extensive variety of diameters and lengths, head and body configurations, air-tight or
water-tight closed-end designs, in various materials suitable for different metals.
- Manufactured in steel or aluminum
- Brass available to special order
- A "Specials facility"
making 'POP®' nuts for non-standard applications
- Small flange 'POP®' Nuts for
thin-gauge materials, with near-flush appearance (no countersunk hole needed)
- Range of setting tools to suit every
production environment
Installation
- The 'POP' nut is screwed onto the
tool's threaded mandrel.
- Operation of the tool retracts the
mandrel. The unthreaded part of the nut upsets to form a collar on
the blind side of the workpiece and applies a powerful clenching
force that rivets the components firmly together. The threaded pan
acts as a secure anchorage point.
- With the 'POP' nut firmly in position,
the tool mandrel is simply unscrewed from the nut.
