Compression Connectors
Compression Connectors are connectors that are used to form permanent electrical connections between wire and electrical equipment, or between multiple wires. Power Connectors, or Lugs, are crimped to the end of a wire and then fastened to a piece of equipment to provide electrical power to it. Splices, H Taps, and C Taps are connectors used to create continuous electrical connectivity between wires. As the name implies, compression connectors are fastened to wires using special compression tooling that “crimps” or squeezes the connector onto the wire, thus entrapping it and forming a reliable electrical connection. |
