These Universal Serial Bus Plugs and Sockets may replace all other existing ports and connectors, which alleviates restrictions of limited COM ports and available IRQ's. They enable users to daisy chain up to 127 devices to achieve data transfer rates up to 12 Mb per sec.

Three to four times faster than parallel devices and up to 40 times faster than serial ports, these advanced interconnects allow peripherals to be connected or disconnected without turning off a computer. They feature true "plug and play" operation and do not require jumpers, DIP switches or IRQ settings.

Construction features include: Snap-in PC solder tails to hold connectors in position for wave soldering: and with Tin Lead Plated solder tails for excellent solderability. Gold Plated contact areas assure low contact resistance and high reliability.

Manufactured in horizontal and vertical types as well as "dual stacking" types, these USB sockets carry a rated voltage of 30V (RMS). Contact current ratings are 1 Amp DC max. with contact resistance at 15 milliohms max. Insulation resistance is 1000 megaohms min. Dielectric withstanding voltages are 750 VAC for 1 minute. Operating temperatures are -25°C (13°F) and 80°C (176°0F).
