Assembly

iglide bearings are designed as press-fit bushings. The required bore diameter and appropriate tolerance are not obtained until the bearing is fitted into the housing bore. The oversized dimension can be as much as 2% of the inner diameter.l This ensures the correct interference fit within the permissible temperature ranges quoted, avoiding rotation or axial movement.r all iglide bearings, the housing bore should be designed to within the specifications offered in this book. Lead in chamfers designed into the bore enable fitting with steady pressure. All iglide bearings have a chamfer on one side for ease of assembly. We do not recommend the use of fitting lubricants.

Under normal conditions, it is not necessary to apply adhesive to the bearings. If, however, the use of adhesive is necessary, several commercial adhesives may be used. Please refer to our technical sales engineers.
