Housing Bores

All pressfit dimensions are based on metallic housing bores. Non-metallic bores such as plastic or wood may be utilized. However, to achieve the proper press-fit and final tolerances of the bearing, non-metallic housing bores usually have to be undersized - how much depends on the material strength and wall thickness of the housing bore.
