Powergrip® Fasteners

AcupointTM Anti-Cross-Threading Feature
Camcar Textron's Acupoint anti-cross-threading feature provides for rapid thread engagement and greatly reduces cross threading on the assembly line.

  • Truncated spherical point quickly locates the hole to help align the fastener

  • Economical design since the point is roll formed
  • Point length and diameter designed to avoid thread engagement in misaligned conditions

STRUX® Clinch Studs
Easy to install, STRUX Clinch Studs offer reliable alternatives to ordinary mechanical clinch studs, weld studs, and swaged bolts.

  • Available as double end studs

MetCamTM Fasteners
New MetCam fasteners meet property classes 8.8 and 9.8 standards with-out subsequent heat treat operations.

  • Available in sizes M5 x 0.8 to M12 x 1.75 (#10-32 to 7/16"-20)
  • Eliminates heat treatment operations for cleaner, straighter parts
  • Wide variety of fastener styles are possible
  • 100% higher fatigue endurance limit as compared to heat treated fasteners

  • Reduces susceptibility of fasteners to hydrogenrelated embrittlement

MagnasealTM Pipe Plug
Currently under development, Camcar Textron's Magnaseal pipe plug eliminates tapping costs and shows improved sealing over other designs.

  • Thread-forming design forms NPTF-standard threads
  • Three unique, annular sealing rings provide 360° of sealing
  • Tapered body design
  • Can be removed and reinstalled without thread damage
  • Available with or without an external head

  • Eliminates time and expense of tapping and risk of cross threading
  • Preliminary lab testing shows resistance to spiral leakage

STRUX Clinch Nuts are self-clinching nuts for metal applications.

STRUXtite® Nut
The STRUXtite Nut is a two-piece system that combines an unhardened and untapped STRUX Clinch Nut with a Taptite Fastener. The fastener roll forms mating threads in the nut, creating a reliable structural joint.
